India has chosen the name Shakti as the name for the landing site of the Chandrayaan 3 probe. Of course, this naming was done informally.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, India has named the Chandrayaan 3 landing site in the South Pole region of the Moon as Shiv Shakti. The Prime Minister of this country made this designation on Saturday during his visit to the Space Research Organization. Shiva and Shakti mean Shiva and power in Sanskrit. The Prime Minister of India announced that Shiva is the supreme god in India and Shakti actually considers the perseverance of women scientists.
Previously, Chandarian 2 lander had also crashed in an area on the surface of the moon in 2019. This area was also named Tiranga. Tiranga means three colors and refers to the flag of this country. Of course, it should be said that these names are unofficially chosen and first this naming must be approved by the International Astronomical Union in Paris. This center is responsible for naming celestial bodies according to their characteristics.
So far, India’s two robotic lander and lunar rover have been able to complete the plans well during the Chandrayaan 3 mission and the presence on Mars. According to the Indian Space Agency, the Pragyan lunar rover encountered a significant crater while exploring the lunar surface. This collision changed the course of this astronaut.
