According to RCO News Agency, citing the Ministry of Science, citing Yazd University, the 2025 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics has been awarded in recognition of the outstanding achievements of the CMS collaboration in the field of accurate measurements of the Higgs boson, the discovery of new particles with strong interaction, and the study of rare processes; Achievements that have played an important role in expanding human understanding of the fundamental structure of nature at the smallest scales.
This success is the result of years of scientific and technical activity and the effective participation of Iranian researchers in one of the most advanced scientific laboratories in the world.
The members of the CMS team at the Basic Knowledge Research Institute include Saeed Paktaint, Ismail Eskandari Tadwani, Seyed Mohsen Etsami, Sima Bashiri, Hadi Behnamian, Siddiqa Tizcheng, Shirin Chenarani, Yasman Hosseini, Gholam Hossein Hakit, Mohsen Khakzad, Elham Khazaei, Ali Dekhani, Ferdous Rezaei Hosseinabadi, Betul Safarzadeh, Ali Fahim, Mojtaba Mohammadi Najafabadi and Mohsen Naseri.
