According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Reuters news agency, US Secretary of War Pete Hegst announced on Monday that his country’s military forces seized an oil tanker in the Indian Ocean after chasing it from the Caribbean.

The US Secretary of War further accused this ship of violating the unilateral and alleged US embargo against the embargoed ships going to or from Venezuela!

“Pete Hegst” wrote in his user account on X social media: American military forces seized the “Aquila 2” ship at night. The ship moved and we followed it. The War Department tracked and stole this ship from the Caribbean to the Indian Ocean.

At the same time, the United States, under the pretext of its unilateral hostile actions against Caracas, has so far targeted several oil tankers for its piracy.
