According to the Mehr News Agency, quoted by Russia Allium, “Steve Witkoff”, the special envoy of the US Preside, announced in a message on the “X” platform that the delegations of Russia, Ukraine and the United States have reviewed a series of issues related to the cessation of conflicts and how to impleme the ceasefire during the two days of negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
According to this report, these talks, which ended on Thursday, included the review of economic issues, ceasefire monitoring mechanisms, as well as issues related to disputed lands.
“Tass” news agency also quoted an informed source and wrote that these talks are part of the ongoing efforts to find a practical framework to reduce tensions between Moscow and Kiev.
This is the second round of tripartite security talks in Abu Dhabi; The first round was held in January, and in both meetings, the Russian delegation headed by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Military Ielligence Departme of the Russian General Staff, participated.
It should be noted that the UAE has become one of the active mediation channels between Russia and Ukraine in rece mohs and has hosted several confideial security meetings.
Ceasefire negotiations coinue while the conflicts on the eastern fros of Ukraine are still iense and iernational efforts to create a stable peace framework have not yet reached a definitive conclusion.
Since the beginning of this year, America and some European couries have tried to keep the channels of dialogue between Moscow and Kiev active in order to preve the spread of the crisis.
