According to the report of Mehr news agency, quoted by Rianavosti, “Sergei Naryshkin”, the head of Russia’s foreign intelligence service, announced: Moscow will adhere to the strategic partnership agreement with Tehran.
He added: The Russian foreign intelligence service has a very good interaction with the Iranian intelligence services and this cooperation will not be stopped under any circumstances.
In another part of his speech, the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said about the expiration of the New Start Treaty (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) between Moscow and Washington: After the New Start Treaty expires, the Kremlin will take a responsible approach and analyze the current situation and the behavior of other countries that have nuclear weapons.
The New Start Treaty was signed between the United States and Russia to control and reduce nuclear weapons. According to this treaty, which was signed in 2010, the two sides must limit their nuclear arsenals to a maximum of 1,550 warheads on both sides.
