According to RCO News Agency, quoted by Anatolia News Agency, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned on Tuesday that the “illegal” plans of the Zionist regime to expand settlements in the E1 area of ​​the occupied West Bank will separate its northern and southern parts and will deal a serious blow to the so-called two-state solution.

The Secretary General of the United Nations said at the opening meeting of the United Nations Committee on the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People: In the occupied West Bank, the continuous and illegal expansion of settlements, demolitions, displacements and expulsions are increasing.

Antonio Guterres then added: If this plan is implemented, it will separate the north and south of the West Bank, weaken the territorial integrity and deal a severe blow to the possibility of realizing a two-state solution. I also strongly condemn the actions of the Israeli authorities to destroy the compound of Sheikh Jarrah, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in occupied East Jerusalem.
