Venezuela appoied its diplomatic represeative in the United States – Mehr News Agency RCO News Agency
According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Mayadin network, the ierim preside of Venezuela, Delsey Rodríguez, appoied Felix Plasencia as the coury’s diplomatic represeative in the United States.
On this basis, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, Ivan Khel Pio, announced that the meeting of the governme of this coury with the US envoy was dedicated to the review of the “common agenda”, which included issues such as energy, trade and political affairs.
The appoime of the Venezuelan represeative in the United States takes place a few days after the new head of the American delegation arrived in Venezuela.
Laura Dugo, the new head of the US mission in Caracas, arrived in Venezuela on Saturday.
On January 22 (2nd of February), Washington appoied Dugo, who was previously the US ambassador to Nicaragua, as the chargé d’affaires of Venezuela to take charge of the US diplomatic mission in Venezuela in the absence of the ambassador.
Diplomatic relations between the United States and Venezuela were cut off in 2019 during the first term of Donald Trump’s presidency.
