
According to the Mehr news agency, citing the National Science Foundation of Iran (INSF), the farewell ceremony of Ali Mohammad Soltani and the induction of Mohammad Reza Hormozinejad as the president of the National Science Foundation of Iran was held in the presence of a representative of the vice president for science, technology and knowledge-based economy.
In this ceremony, Soltani, while welcoming and congratulating the appointment of the new head of the National Science Foundation of Iran, said: We wish the National Science Foundation of Iran to be a point of hope for science, research and technology in the country.
Soltani, who has been the head of the National Science Foundation of Iran since June 1401, pointing out that in this institution, we followed the path of the country’s research with the slogan of an effective and agile foundation, said: Effectiveness in research is like a walnut tree sapling that is planted and years later this sapling bears fruit. Also, with agility, we were looking for speed in optimal decisions.
He added: Among the achievements of this period, it is possible to mention the reduction of the approval period of projects, which has decreased by 20% compared to the previous year. Currently, this process takes 90 days.
According to Soltani, the National Science Foundation of Iran has made significant progress in terms of supporting credit payments, and now more than 1,000 payments are made every week.
In the continuation of this ceremony, the representative of the vice president for science, technology and economy of the knowledge base of the presidency, while appreciating the efforts of Soltani, said: he worked as the president of the National Science Foundation of Iran during the period of activity of the three vice presidents of science and technology, Dr. Sattari, Dr. Dehqani Firouzabadi, and Dr. Afshin, and they were able to attract the positive opinion of all three vice presidents. Dr. Soltani is considered one of the successful managers of the country and it was a good fortune to be in his service.
In the end, he noted: I hope the upcoming changes and developments will be a source of good for the country’s scientific community and we will witness the progress of this institution.
In this ceremony, the efforts of Ali Mohammad Soltani were appreciated and Mohammad Reza Hormozinejad was introduced as the president of the National Science Foundation of Iran.
