According to Zomit, finally, after 10 days of absolute blackout and complete disconnection of the Internet, access to the Google search engine was restored on December 28; But the consequences of this long blackout and lack of connection with Google services will plague online businesses for a long time and will cost them a lot of money.

Online businesses use various tools to monitor user behavior, inbound traffic analysis, and SEO, which are mainly Google’s own services or use Google’s APIs, and clearly, in the period of Internet disruption, none of the analysis and monitoring tools were available; But since in this period, the communication with the world was cut off in two ways, Google did not have the possibility to crawl in the web pages of Iran, and this factor makes the situation more complicated.

Search Console and Google Analytics are the most well-known website analysis and monitoring services. These tools are used for such things as checking incoming traffic from the Google search engine and Google Discover, the position of various website pages in Google results, real-time traffic on the pages, demographic data of users and the duration of their presence on the website.

Apart from the issue of lack of access to analysis and monitoring tools, access to Google Discover was also not possible during the internet outage period. Google Discover is one of the main sources of media traffic; But during the internet outage, this channel was completely unavailable, and now, after establishing a connection with Google services, the media must spend extra time and energy to gain Google’s trust and reach the previous level of traffic from the Google Discover channel.

Investigations by the marketing team of Zomit Media Group show that during the 10-day interruption of communication with Google, more than 17% of “Kjaro” pages were removed from the index list of the Google search engine, and thus their position in the Google results was also lost; Positions that have been obtained by spending considerable time and money over time, and now additional time and money must be spent to reclaim them.
