Oario’s in-demand labor immigration program is now underway through the new Expression of Ierest, or EOI, system.
The EOI system of the Oario Provincial Immigration Program is now accepting applications for the In-Demand Skills immigration route in the Employer Job Offer Category.
This new immigration route is placed next to the Foreign Worker and Iernational Stude routes. These immigration programs were first iroduced to the new application acceptance system in March 2021.
Oario has not yet implemeed an EOI system for the Masters Graduate and PhD Graduate immigration pathways. But according to the announceme of the Oario Provincial Immigration Program website, in the near future, the EOI system will be launched for these immigration routes.
Membership in the EOI system means that applicas can be considered eligible to immigrate to Oario at any time. Oario ranks profiles based on its own scoring matrix. In this matrix, the applica’s education, work history and iended destination in Oario are considered. The goal is to support applicas who have the experience and skills necessary to succeed in the Oario job market.
Registration in the EOI system does not guaraee that the applica will be invited to submit their application for provincial nomination. Profiles will be valid for 12 mohs in the EOI queue. The Oario Provincial Immigration Program may coact the applica at any time to request a nomination.
Recely, the province of Oario invited 940 iernational studes and foreign workers in the EOI system to apply for nominations.
About the In-Demand Skills immigration route
This immigration program pays more atteion to the demand of the province of Oario than the applica’s job skill level. Many immigration programs target occupations that the governme deems to require high skills. But Oario still faces labor shortages in low-skilled jobs. Foreign workers who have a valid job offer in Oario can apply for PNP provided that they have gained 9 mohs of work experience in Oario within the last three years. Seasonal work experience is not acceptable. Part-time work experience is acceptable, but only if the applicas have worked the required hours: 1200 hours of work for wages in one job within 18 mohs, or work in more than one job for at least 30 hours per week within a period of 9 mohs, which reaches a total of 1200 hours.
