Spain strongly condemned the violation of iernational law in Venezuela

Following the US attack on Caracas and the arrest of Venezuelan Preside Nicolas Maduro, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez strongly condemned the “violation of iernational law” in this coury.
According to RCO News Agency, Sanchez wrote in a letter to the Socialist Workers Party of Spain on the occasion of New Year greetings: “The rece violation of iernational law in Venezuela – an action that we strongly condemn – as well as the suffering of the people of Ukraine and Palestine, reminds us how importa it is to have a governme in Spain that always and everywhere defends iernational law and the peaceful resolution of conflicts.”
According to Anatolia News agency, this position was raised after his stateme on Saturday, in which he refused to recognize the American ierveion.
Sanchez wrote on the X social network: “Spain did not recognize the Maduro regime, but it will not recognize any ierveion that violates iernational law and pushes the region to the horizon of uncertaiy and tension.”
US Preside Donald Trump invaded Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, on Saturday in an illegal invasion called “Operation Absolute Resolve” and arrested Nicolás Maduro and his wife and transferred them to New York. Several members of the US Congress called the operation “illegal”, while the US governme promised that Maduro would be brought to justice.
Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced its ieion to appeal Washington’s actions to iernational organizations and called for an urge meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
Russia also expressed its solidarity with Venezuela. The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern over the reports about the forced transfer of Maduro and his wife to Caracas during the US invasion and demanded their release. Moscow also emphasized the need to take measures to preve further escalation of tensions around Venezuela.
