New US sanctions against Venezuela

The US Treasury Departme has imposed new sanctions on companies and oil tankers linked to Venezuela.
According to Isna, Washington has imposed sanctions on four oil companies and designated four oil tankers as frozen assets due to their links with Venezuela, and once again emphasizes the coinuation of its pressure campaign against the governme of Venezuelan Preside Nicolás Maduro.
The US Treasury announced sanctions against four companies active in Venezuela’s oil sector and designated four oil tankers linked to these activities as frozen property.
The Trump administration’s Treasury Departme said the ships, some of which are part of what it calls a “shadow fleet” serving Venezuela, coinue to provide financial resources that help prop up the Maduro regime. The Venezuelan governme is increasingly relying on a shadow fleet of vessels operating around the world, the ministry noted.
The ministry added that “today’s action underscores that those involved in the Venezuelan oil business coinue to face significa sanctions risks.”
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessa also confirmed that the departme will coinue to impleme Donald Trump’s pressure campaign against Venezuela.
In the same vein, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez announced on Wednesday that his coury rejects the “new unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States governme against Venezuela and Iran.”
In a tweet on Platform X, Rodríguez added that the actions of the United States “corary to iernational law and are aimed at increasing pressure and escalating aggression against both couries.”
