Farzad Sharifi, Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam, said:
The operation of protecting, restoring and strengthening the historical monument of Hazardar in Abdanan was completed in Abdanan city with the funds allocated from the provincial funds in the amount of 700 million Rials.
He stated that this operation was carried out after the approval and approval of the technical council members of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province and emphasized:
Hazar Darb Castle is one of the important historical monuments of this city, and its age goes back to the Sassanid period due to the materials used in it, including stone and plaster.
The ancient castle of Hazardar has existed since 1400 years ago and in the Sassanid era, and the architectural features of this building include long corridors, small rooms around the corridors, wind and skylights to cool the castle and numerous corridors, and having many doors, windows and niches in popular culture has made the name of Hazardar worthy of it.
This fort is defensive and has military and emirate uses, and it is built with 1,800 square meters of materials such as stone, crushed stone, and half-cut plaster.
This work was registered as one of the national works of Iran on July 22, 1379 with registration number 2744.
