According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Shahab, Ahmad Al-Fara, director of the children’s department of Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, announced that the birth of premature babies in the Gaza Strip has increased by 60% due to the war in this strip.
In addition, the lack of medical facilities in the Gaza Strip in the shadow of the continued siege of this strip has worsened the humanitarian crisis, so that the Kuwait Hospital in Khan Yunis announced that it has stopped surgeries due to the lack of these facilities.
The officials of this hospital emphasized that due to the closure of the crossings and the lack of humanitarian and medical aid entering the Gaza Strip, the operation of surgeries has been stopped and soon this hospital will completely leave the region.
They warned that the continuation of this situation threatens the lives of the sick and wounded.
