Rubio’s interventionist statements against Iran
In a press conference, the US Secretary of State made intrusive statements about Iran’s internal affairs by repeating Iran’s claim of supporting terrorism and the existence of military objectives in Iran’s nuclear program.
According to RCO News Agency, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio made intrusive statements about Iran’s internal affairs in a press conference, once again repeating Washington’s claim that there are military goals in Iran’s nuclear program and its support for regional and international terrorism.
The New Region News website reported that Rubio claimed in a press conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country last evening: “Our problem with the Iranian regime is basically their desire to acquire nuclear weapons and their support for terrorism, and ultimately the issue is their disobedience with their own people.”
The US Secretary of State, whose country bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Ferdo, and Natanz in June along with the Zionist regime’s baseless claim that there are military targets in Iran’s nuclear program, claims that Iran is trying to obtain nuclear weapons, which the International Atomic Energy Agency has not proven or confirmed in any of its technical reports.
While emphasizing that Iran’s nuclear technology is indigenous and has been developed relying on domestic power and capacity, Tehran authorities have declared that the production and use of nuclear weapons has no place in its defense doctrine.
Iran has also always condemned various forms of terrorism in the regional and international arena and has been one of the pioneers in the fight against regional terrorism, including ISIS in West Asia.
The US Secretary of State went on to make some interventionist statements and claimed: “I don’t know any country where there is such a difference between the regime that rules it and the people who live there every day. This regime does not represent the people who live in Iran, the people who inherit a cultural heritage with a long history and a very proud history. “Then you have an extremist religious regime running it and taking the wealth of this country and using it not to enrich the people and provide for their future, not to make sure they have enough water and electricity, but their money to support terrorist organizations around the world.”
In response to a question about the implementation of some death sentences, Rubio said: “Some of these (death sentences carried out by Iran) were after the war with Israel, when some people were arrested and accused of spying for Israel, but we are under no illusions.”
With these statements, the US foreign minister is trying to make the government of this country appear to support the Iranian people. According to reports, the unilateral sanctions of the US, which also affect the food and medicine sector, are a clear example of targeting ordinary citizens of a society with political goals.
Washington has also acknowledged the support and full knowledge of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty in June, which resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of Iranian civilians, including women and children.
