“Kalbe Afaq” project, designed by “Fateme Aghaei”, is an architectural concept inspired by the northern climate of Iran, which combines modern simplicity with the traditional architecture of Mazandaran region. This two-story wooden hut, with a sloping metal roof, is nestled in the arms of the green mountains and dense forests of Mazandaran.
The design of the cottage is clever; The lower floor was built with stone materials to ensure strength and stability against moisture; While the upper floor was built with warm wood, which induces a sense of comfort and coziness. The large windows on the top floor glow with a soft amber light at night, radiating warmth outside.
This structure is completely immersed in the natural environment; Old trees, colorful flowers and a small stream flowing nearby create a feeling of being untouched. In the spatial description, the soft morning mist moving over the mountains creates a calm and cool atmosphere, which is depicted with a realistic style and rich design details. “Kalbe Afaq” is more than a structure and, in fact, an ideal retreat that celebrates the pristine beauty of the nature of northern Iran.
