Ruthe: There is no consensus for Ukraine’s membership in NATO
The Secretary General of NATO announced that so far no consensus has been formed among the members of this alliance for Ukraine to join NATO.
According to Isna, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized today (Tuesday) that the necessary consensus for Ukraine’s membership in this military alliance is not yet there.
“The practical situation is that, as you know, for Ukraine to join NATO, the consensus of all allies is necessary,” he told reporters. “As you know, there is currently no consensus on Ukraine’s membership in NATO.”
Ukraine has been thinking of joining NATO for a long time, but it has faced the opposition of the alliance members.
