Hormoz Island is one of the most unique natural destinations in Iran; A small island in the Persian Gulf known for its geological diversity, unique colors and differe landscapes. The most importa attraction of this island is its soil and geological structures. “Rainbow Valley” with a wide range of colored sedimeary layers, “Sahel Red” with special reddish soil, and “Valley of Sculptures” with natural rock formations provide a clear picture of the geological history of the region.
The salt cave of Hormuz, which is also known as the “goddess of salt”, is another promine poi of the island. The salt crystals, walls and ceiling of this cave have turned it io a spectacular environme that attracts many tourists every year. In another part of the coast of Hormuz, mangrove forests during the tides create a differe landscape of vegetation adapted to salty environmes.
