Kremlin: Russia is ready to negotiate on Ukraine
The spokesman of the Kremlin announced that Russia is ready to negotiate on the resolution of the Ukraine crisis.
According to RCO News Agency, “Dmitry Peskov”, the spokesman of the Kremlin, said on Wednesday evening: “Russia is ready to continue negotiations on the conflict in Ukraine.”
According to the report of “Ryanovsi” News agency, the spokesperson of the Kremlin addressed to the journalists and emphasized: “The interruption in the negotiation process was created by Kiev.”
“Axios” news site reported before these statements that the new plan of US President Donald Trump to end the war in Ukraine is to hand over parts of the east of this country to Russia in exchange for providing security guarantees from the United States.
It is not clear what the US security guarantees would include beyond a promise to defend against future Russian operations.
“Qatar and Türkiye are involved in drafting Trump’s new plan and supporting US mediation efforts,” Axios reported, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
“If necessary, there is a possibility of an immediate telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump,” Peskov continued. Of course, the actions that should be taken before the Russia-US summit have not been done yet.”
