According to the Mehr News Agency, citing the Russian “Sputnik” news agency, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced that the Zionist regime is preventing the entry of essential materials into the Gaza Strip, the most important of which are vaccines and bottles of infant formula.
UNICEF stated that this institution is facing great challenges to import 1,600,000 syringes and solar refrigerators for the storage of children’s vaccines.
The organization added that these items from the month August This year (August / September) they are waiting to receive the entry permit.
UNICEF announced that a massive operation to vaccinate children is still ongoing in the shadow of the fragile ceasefire in Gaza.
On the other hand, Palestine’s Sama news agency, citing the Ministry of Health of the region, also announced that 6,000 cases of amputations have been registered in the Gaza Strip, all of which require immediate and long-term rehabilitation programs.
The ministry added that the lack of medical facilities and aids has increased the problems of amputees.
The ministry also announced that about 25% of these cases are related to children and 12.7% are related to women.
