The value of digital currencies donated to Ukraine reached 38 million dollars

According to the latest statistics, the total value of digital currencies donated to governmental and non-governmental organizations of Ukraine has reached 38 million dollars. Among these donations, the name of one of the non-monogamous tokens (NFT) of the famous CryptoPunks collection can be seen.

According to CoinDesk, on Tuesday, NFT #5364 was transferred from the Cryptopanx collection to the Ethereum wallet of the Ukrainian government. This NFT has added a significant amount to Ukraine’s total donations, which so far have exceeded $37.9 million in digital currency.

Estimates of the value of these NFTs donated to the Ukrainian government vary. Tom Robinson, of blockchain analytics firm Elliptic, announced the donation of $200,000 late Tuesday. The website DeepNFTvalue, which uses machine learning to estimate the price of rare NFTs, has estimated its value at $233,000.

This NFT recorded its last sale in February 2021 at a price of $31,300. From the donor’s wallet address, it can be seen that he also holds several other cryptopunk NFTs.

This token has been deposited in the midst of the news of the accelerated Ukrainian digital currency campaign. As of February 26 (Esfand 7), the Ukrainian government officially began receiving financial aid in digital currencies. On Tuesday alone, the fundraising record was broken, with more than $10 million raised across Ethereum, Polkadat, Tether, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies.

Earlier on Tuesday, Michael Chobanian, the founder of the Ukrainian digital currency exchange Kuna, which is working with the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation to handle donations, announced that at least $14 million of the donated digital currency had already been earmarked for procurement. Military and civilian equipment, including food and fuel, are spent.

“Most of the spending is actually done with digital currencies,” Kobanian says. He had already said that Kiona Exchange manages the wallets of the Ukrainian government. It is worth noting that Kubanian has not yet said what they are going to do with Cryptopunk NFT #5364.
