Lavrov: Putin’s order on nuclear tests is underway
The Russian Foreign Minister said that the President’s order to evaluate and prepare for nuclear tests has been accepted and is being carried out.
According to Isna, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday evening: “The order of Russian President Vladimir Putin to prepare and evaluate the possibility of nuclear tests has been accepted and is being carried out.”
According to the Sputnik News agency, the Russian Foreign Minister emphasized: “The results of this order will be made public.”
In response to US President Donald Trump’s statements about nuclear tests, Lavrov said: “It is not clear whether he meant testing nuclear weapons or conducting sub-critical tests. “Also, we have yet to receive any explanation through diplomatic channels as to what President Donald Trump meant by announcing the resumption of nuclear testing.”
He added: “Statements and statements in Washington show that they do not have a common understanding of what the American president means.”
