Biden’s harsh criticism of Trump’s performance in the health sector
Criticizing the Donald Trump administration for cutting health care and cancer research funding, the former US president said that in 2020, his late son should have been elected president, not him.
According to RCO News Agency, the former US President Joe Biden criticized the current President of his country, Donald Trump, in a speech, and addressed the Democrats in the state of Nebraska, saying that his late son should have been elected as the Commander-in-Chief in 2020, not himself.
Referring to the death of his eldest son Beau Biden from brain cancer in 2015, the former president attacked Trump and accused him of “cutting government funding for cancer research.” Meanwhile, his government made it a priority.
“Folks, I know what cancer research means,” Biden said in his speech at a party for Democratic Representative Ben Nelson in the western state of Nebraska. Cancer affects every family. My family has been greatly affected.
“When the love of my life, my oldest son, the attorney general of Delaware who should have been president, not me, volunteered to go to Iraq for a year when he didn’t have to, he came back with stage four cancer because he lived and died in a fiery pit just like those people did on 9/11,” the 46th president continued quietly.
He, who himself has a form of cancer, pointed to his experience of dealing with this disease and praised the doctors and nurses and the progress made in cancer research, adding: “But now, Trump and his Republican friends are cutting government funding for health care and making it more expensive.”
Biden, who turns 83 this month, appeared at the event with an apparently new bandage on the upper left side of his head. The reason for this new bandage is not clear.
.
Earlier in August, he underwent a surgery called Mohs, which is used to treat skin cancer. Biden then appeared in public with a large bandage — and then a healing wound — on another part of his head.
“Why are they doing this?” Biden shouted as he continued to criticize the Trump administration’s budget cuts as he continued his speech on Friday. And he argued that the reason for this is to cut taxes for America’s wealthiest people.
In another part of his speech, the former US president got angry, especially when discussing the unprecedented government shutdown, and angrily said: “Trump better open this damn government.”
We have a president who is deliberately making hunger worse for Americans, while in the United States, 1 in 5 children go to bed hungry every night!
When the crowd reacted by “booing” the government’s performance, the former president said: “No, no, it’s more than that.” This is a scandal!
Biden also lauded Democratic victories in Tuesday’s state elections, declaring that “the Democratic Party is back.”
