The hotel is built along the deserted railway line that takes pilgrims to Medina more than a century ago. The Italian design and architecture studio was on a mission to give the area a new life by carefully rebuilding the historic buildings of the stone. Past signs are everywhere in the hotel. Black and red steam locomotives that create the restaurant space and the old silver rails visible under the glass panels are the symbols of the Shidi al -Hajar Hotel.

In four rooms, suites and villas of the Shidi al -Hajar Hotel, sandy colors along with polished metal details and arched windows and ports are both reminiscent of the railway and reflects the natural landscapes of the area. An indoor route 2 meters long connects the villas to the main building of the station.
One of the most prominent works of art in the site is the installation of “Pastle Past Witnesses” by Monika Sosnowska; A screwdriver of recycled steel rails that once again remembers the railway.
