Austria expelled a Russian diplomat on a verge of spying on a investigation into an old OMV employee who is suspected of transferring the secrets to the Kremlin, according to Mehr News Agency.

According to the media, the man left Vienna after Russia refused to abolish diplomatic immunity to allow espionage investigations.

The Austrian Foreign Ministry has declared him an adverse element and had given the opportunity to leave Vienna.
