Ardeshir Oruji, a senior tourism expert, said that Iran’s lack of contact with the world was the first issue in the field of tourism and told Kajaro: “
Like all issues in the country, tourism is also subject to the political issue. Unless we interact with the world, we cannot expect tourism in Iran to prosper. No one is eager to come to Iran, and if so, insurance companies do not support them and unfortunately eliminated Iran’s foreign tourism offices from tourism trips.
The tourism expert said:
After the problems of communication with the world are resolved, there are still other things like the Internet filter and interbank communication in the world. Iran’s relationship with the World Bank is also not possible for the same political issues.
Referring to various challenges in the field of tourism, he said:
Another challenge in the field of tourism in Iran is the issue of booking. We can book a hotel or travel transportation ticket; But we are not connected to the World Reservation Network. Anyone from anywhere in the world for every day they want to be able to book tickets. For example, the rail transport system in Iran is available for a specific time such as avalanches for March. In this way, one cannot expect a foreign tourist to plan to come to Iran. On the other hand, our air fleet is worn out. When the airlines of other countries are very advanced, the foreign tourists of our country certainly do not choose to travel.
Regarding the Ministry of Tourism ‘s announcements about the arrival of tourists into the country, Oruji said:
Tourism officials don’t think real. Any minister sitting on the ministry’s office thinks of a dream; Because he wants to continue his ministry period; If they want to think real, there are many major problems that they must first resolve. We still do not have a tourism statistical site to make it available to reporters, tourists, researchers and investors in the field, and to examine the tourism issue in a process.
He said the creation of a statistical site in the field of tourism was one of the essentials of this field and said:
After this statistical site, the site of tourism satellite accounts must be created to investigate how much tourists have been in Iran and how much we have invested in various tourism areas. So we can’t check how many tourists came to Iran and how much they had financially brought it; So in the interviews they give statistics that do not match reality.
Urouji explained that health and pilgrimage tourism can be effective if its mechanism is provided, explained:
Tourist entry statistics are fabricated because they provide statistics that are not real. A site is not available to researchers so they can examine the entry and exit and the amount of residence of tourists. Health tourism in other countries is such that the physician is linked to the patient during recovering and third -party insurance is also accepted.
The tourism expert, given the booming health market in the past, added:
Iran was once welcomed by neighboring countries because of the cheap and skilled doctors in the country; But today we got away from that booming period, and in addition to all this, many of our doctors migrated. On the other hand, the mechanism for attracting health tourism is not correct and the statistics are unreliable.
He says about religious tourism and pilgrimage, saying that in the religious tourism sector, tourists are not in the tourism cycle at all.
There is no tourism; A small number of tourists enter the hotel either go to restaurants or use the public transport system. A number of tourists entering the country are welcomed as a delegation and are resettled in mosques or Husseiniyas. They return to their own country after they have been visited; So they are not considered in our tourism cycle. Many of these statistics are announced are borderline traffic and family communication between the borders. For example, they come from Iraq to Iran or enter Azerbaijan. On the other hand, the Afghans are constantly traveling.
