According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry’s official spokesman, Tamim emphasized that the ceasefire in Gaza is the key to entering the humanitarian aid. Cairo has not yet received any official response from the Zionist side to the ceasefire proposal.

He added: “The ball is on Tel Aviv now to answer the offer.”

“Without a real political outlook for the formation of a Palestinian state, the current crisis will not be resolved,” he said.

He said: Egypt adheres to its efforts to achieve stability and return to the political path.

Qatar had earlier announced that Hamas’s response to the offer was positive.
