The continuation of forest fires and the spread of fire to villages and residential areas near the city of Patras, as well as two recreational islands, have made the extensive fire more difficult, according to the Mehr News Agency.

Since Tuesday, the fires, farms and factories have burned the fires and has led to the evacuation of thousands of citizens and tourists.

Dozens of people have also been hospitalized due to respiratory problems caused by inhalation of smoke. About 5 firefighters are also treated due to burns and other injuries.

About 5,000 firefighters have been dispatched to the area with four aircraft from dawn to contain the flames that have spread the wind and hot and dry weather near Patras. The islands of Khyus and Zacinthus and at least three tourist points from the beach have been overshadowed by fire.
