Shooting in US Virginia; Sheriff’s deputies were injured – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news

Local authorities say three sheriff’s deputies in the US state of Virginia have been shot dead in an attempt to execute sentences against a person, according to Mehr News Agency.

According to officials, the incident occurred in southern Virginia and three wounded officers were taken to the hospital and their conditions are now stable.

The Associated Press wrote that the suspect was finally arrested after hours of clashes.

Michael Taylor, the Sheriff’s Pitsilvania County Sheriff, said the sentences were issued on charges of threats to firearms as well as entry into the property without the permission of the property owner.
