Astronomers managed to discover an extrasolar planet that was hidden from their view until now. This giant planet is several million years old, and according to scientists, it may be the origin of the spiral arm patterns in the protoplanetary disks that are currently seen in the center of the Milky Way galaxy.
According to Tekna technology and technology news service, the spiral arms of the Milky Way are full of stars and are probably the birthplace of star systems. On the other hand, according to scientists’ theories, the activities related to new and newborn planets can also create such patterns.
In an article published in this regard, scientists believe that the newly discovered planet is responsible for the production of spiral arms in the newly born planetary system of this planet. Kevin Wagner, one of the researchers of this research and the author of the article, says: Recent studies prove that spiral arms are made by giant planets. According to him, this idea can be tested by the James Webb telescope and by examining other giant planets. For the first time in 2013, the spiral pattern of this giant planet was discovered. At that time, these patterns showed the formation of giant planets with the help of theoretical simulations.
