Israeli Security Center confession: Houthis practically paralyzed the port of Eilat – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
The Israeli Internal Security Studies Institute said in a report that the period of seafood from Israel to Israel has increased from 1 to 2 days to 2 to 5 days, according to the Mehr News Agency.
According to the report, maritime transport costs for some commodities have increased by more than 5 %, which has directly influenced the Israeli market, and Israeli consumers have clearly felt the price difference.
The port of Eilat, which has always been a “southern Israel gate”, is virtually disabled, the institute said.
According to the report, ships in the port have almost completely stopped and, as a result, have lost their economic and security importance, although the tribes were a key point for Israel’s relationship with the Indian Ocean and the Far East.
“For the first time in the last few decades, Israel’s interests in the Red Sea have been directly threatened,” the institute added.
At the end of the report, the threats are no longer limited to Iran, but the Houthis have become an influential field actor who is capable of targeting Israel -related ships or on the way to it.
