Dacilva: Brazil is no longer dependent on America – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Dacilva, pointing out that the United States had intended to create a “coup” in the country, condemned Washington’s efforts to use political pressure to impose tariffs against Brazil, according to Mehr News Agency.
Dacilva warned that Brazil would not accept unequal behavior and is ready to defend its interests in the world.
Referring to the recent threats to US President Donald Trump on imposing a 5 % tariff against Brazilian exports, he said, “The effort to use political tools to impose economic sanctions against us is unacceptable.”
The Brazilian president also emphasized his stance on replacing the US dollar for trade internationally, pointing out that the country is no longer economically dependent on the United States.
“They want to end the multilateralism,” Dacilva said. They want to return to the country’s agreement with the country; A system in which large countries dominate the small countries. In other words, negotiating a small country with the United States is like a factory worker who has 6,000 workers to negotiate with the president of the factory alone! The agreement is unequal and you will not achieve anything.
He emphasized: “We have the extent, the strategic and economic interests and interests.” We want to negotiate but from an equal position.
