Moscow: Trump’s recent statements are serious and we need time to analyze it – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
Dimitri Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, described the move as a desire to continue the war in response to Washington and NATO’s decision to send more weapons to Ukraine.
Peskov said: “Kiev sees the decisions made in Washington and NATO not a sign of peace, but a sign of the continuation of the war.”
“The new Trump statements are seriously serious and the Kremlin needs time to analyze and evaluate it,” he said.
Financial Times and Washington Post quoted sources as saying that Trump has encouraged him to attack Moscow and St. Petersburg in a private conversation with Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnski, and also asked if he could attack the US if he was offered!
The Russian diplomat also responded to the report: “Such reports are fake, but sometimes they are serious!”
Trump announced yesterday that Washington will continue to send weapons and military equipment to Ukraine as long as Europe pay his money. According to him, NATO’s coordination will be in charge of the work, and if Russia fails to reach a peace agreement with Ukraine within five days, the US will impose a 5 % tariff against Moscow and its business partners.
