Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on Sunday with the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, according to the Mehr News Agency.
According to the Turkish Presidential Communications Bureau, Erdogan said in a telephone conversation with Al -Nanaan: “With the goal of Turkey free of terrorism, we took a step to eliminate the issue of terrorism from the Turkish and the region’s agenda.”
Erdogan went on to say that the positive effects of the strategic partnership between Türkiye and the UAE in all areas are visible and the two countries have great potential in many areas, especially the defense industries and new technologies.
The Turkish president added: Ankara will follow the peace talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Abu Dhabi and will continue to support efforts to maintain stability in the Caucasus region.
Al -Nahyan also expressed hope that Türkiye would significantly contribute to the security of the region, and expressed hope that Türkiye would complete the process successfully.
