Foreign airlines and hotels do not pay Iranian travelers!

Quoted by ISNA; Amirpouyan Rafieehshad in describing the status of canceled and uncertain trips in the 6 -day war, stated:

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tehran Air Travel and Tourism Trade Union of Tehran Province explained the delay in the extradition of the funds, especially on foreign travel, according to the directives of the Airlines and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts:

Travel companies and travel companies are between travel services providers (hotels and airlines) and its consumers (travelers and tourists), but whatever happens, naturally the ball falls to the land of travel services. When there is no demand for foreign flight, how the agency can restore those funds, he has to wait for a while for a passenger to come, form a request and use its credibility and cannot pay for people until the passenger.

Rafi’i Shahad said about the volume of debt of travel services during the two -day war, saying:

During this time statistics and numbers have been announced, but keep in mind that we are facing two groups of travel services; Internal and external. Consider, for example, many travelers have bought Tehran -Istanbul flight from a domestic airline, but the continuation of the route was to be carried out with a foreign airline. How the money is to be returned when that foreign airline has not canceled its flight, those who were not involved in the war. But the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in Iran has issued a directive to return the money for these “Ein” trips. On the basis of what argument is such a general directive issued? The Iranian Agency has paid the money it has received to a foreign airline in another country, how can it return it to the passenger, when that foreign flight has not been canceled.

He added:

We do not only have this problem on foreign flights. Turkish hotels told us the land that was open and the traveler could travel to the land. Of course, a number of foreign hotels and hotels worked with Iranian agencies and travelers and supported, but many are reluctant to return the travelers’ money.

Responding to the question of why they were delayed in the internal travel sector where internal facilities and service providers were subject to emergency warfare, he said:

“Not paying for funds” is not at all. Our colleagues in the time of Corona proved themselves and showed that the money was delayed and paid. That is the case now, the situation is critical and we had a short time, the procedure would return to the previous conditions, and the sums are returned.

Happy Rafiei added:

Of course, many funds have been returned. Domestic flights and charters have been refunded, but the problem is that we are looking for interaction for some of the payments, especially overseas service sectors, which have not been involved in the case. Here the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can follow the story. Of course, the conditions of the country are such that it is important.

Tourism agencies are intermediaries on the subject of travel services, not their own producers, not the product. In this section that they cannot spend from their own pockets. I think instructions and directives are ineffective in such circumstances. These directives can only work for airlines and domestic hotels.
