The World Food Photography Awards have published a significant list of selected images that showcase a combination of art, culture and human emotions around the food axis. From the vibrant scenes of street foods to artistic layouts and intimate moments in family kitchens, these photos have traced and narrated stories of tradition, enthusiasm, and human bond.
Each photo shows a significant technical skill and a deep understanding of how to arouse memory, identity and happiness by food. This year’s final list highlights the global diversity in cooking and once again proves that food photography is as much aesthetically dependent on storytelling and emotion.
Among the highlights is an image titled “Harvesting in Move” by Wim Demessemaeks of Belgium, which depicts Tanzanian farmers’ efforts to carry their crops. Also, “And all was yellow” by Marina Spironetti from Italy, it exhibits a golden saffron rhizoto with a special delicacy.
Some of the prominent images also include a royal portrait with a playful torsion that replaces coronation jewelry with pasta and combines creativity with tradition. Another photo shows the sunset next to a street seller, whose pink wool shines in the beauty of the sea. (121clicks)
