Hamas: We welcome new efforts by Qatar and Egypt – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
The Hamas movement welcomed the new Qatar -Egyptian efforts to mediate and reach a ceasefire in Gaza, according to Mehr News Agency.
Accordingly, a statement released by the movement said: “We are ready to immediately enter a new round of indirect negotiations to reach an agreement on the permanent ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of the occupation forces.”
Qatar and Egypt also said in a joint statement that in coordination with the United States, they intend to exacerbate their efforts to remove the barriers to the negotiations.
The two countries also said their goal was to quickly reach a 4 -day temporary ceasefire that could pave the way for a permanent ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The statements come as the human situation in Gaza is critical and international pressure to stop the war and open the path of humanitarian aid is increasing.
The Hamas movement insists that any agreement with the Zionist enemy should lead to the permanent end of the war in Gaza. However, Netanyahu’s extremist cabinet says that only Hamas is ready to agree and the release of Zionist prisoners, and after the release of the captives, he will continue the war in Gaza.
