Moscow hosts more than 5 security delegations from all over the world
“We want to show that we are in favor of a single and indivisible security, that security is not against anyone, but security for everyone,” said the secretary of the Russian Security Council, referring to the 13th Moscow Security Meeting.
According to RCO News Agency, the 13th International Summit of High Supreme Security Representatives will be held in Moscow on May 5-8 (today until Thursday), chaired by the Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shivigo. Participants are expected to discuss the formation of a new international security architecture, the fight against internet fraud and the protection of vital intelligence infrastructure.
The meeting will be held for the first time in the Russian National Center in the capital. The Security Council of the Russian Federation has organized the international meeting of high -ranking representatives of security issues since the year.
Experts see the conference as an important platform for discussing security issues in the world and strengthening countries‘ cooperation in the fight against transnational crimes, extremism, international terrorism, drug trafficking and new threats.
“Of course, we want to show our country, we want to show how we deal with security issues, but the key is that we want to show that we are in favor of a single and inseparable security,” said the Russian Security Council secretary today (Tuesday).
“We want to discuss this issue and we will naturally talk about it,” he continued.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova had earlier said that on May 5, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would address the public meeting on “forming uniform and indivisible security architecture, challenges and opportunities for southern and eastern countries.”
According to the Dice News agency, invitations have been sent to more than 5 countries in the south and east of the world, including member states of the Organization for the Collection Security Treaty, the Eurasia Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the heads of more than 5 international organizations. Shivigo had earlier reported that US representatives would also be invited.
The Press Office of the Russian Federation’s Security Council announced on the eve of the meeting that the participation of more than 5 delegations from more than 5 countries from the south and east of the world, the Commonwealth Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Brix, the Union of Africa, the Union of Africa. Most African countries have approved their partnership, including 2 delegations from more than 5 countries.
Other countries participating in the Moscow security summit, Iran, China, India, North Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Serbia, Mali, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Al Jazeera will be among the other countries.
Ali Akbar Ahmadian, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, has also traveled to Moscow to attend the meeting.
According to the Russian Security Council’s press office, Shivigo will meet with senior representatives of the participating countries, including Iran and his counterpart from China on the sidelines of the meeting.
In addition, another round of consultations in the form of Russia-Asey is a justification for deepening between Russia and African countries, informal meetings of the Brex Member States, Assean, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Commonwealth Cooperative States and Information Security for the day.
The Russian Federation’s Security Council noted that the participants’ focus on international cooperation in the field of security will be the formation of a new, fair and more responsive security architecture and equal and inseparable security.
Shivigo had earlier said in an interview with the Dice news agency that specific ways to deepen security with countries around the world will be discussed. The secretary of the Russian Security Council believes that structural changes in foreign policy and international economic relations will create challenges and opportunities for the southern and eastern countries of the world. According to him, modern challenges and threats to security have a global and extra -border nature.
Shivigo emphasized that no modern state can deal with them alone or in bilaterally.
The previous meeting of the Supreme Security Representatives was held in St. Petersburg on April 1-8. The delegations from five countries and eight international organizations participated.
