UNICEF sounded alarm about children in Gaza – Mehr News Agency | Iranian and world news
“We are expressing our concern about the increase in the number of children victimized in the Gaza war, with more than 5 children in the area died in the past two days,” the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) quoted Shahab News Agency as saying.
UNICEF said: The number of children in Gaza, who died in the past two months, has reached nine. The situation in Gaza is catastrophic with all the existing criteria, and the children in the area are under difficult conditions, and attacks against residential areas and refugees are still ongoing.
Children are not only faced with death but their lives due to hunger and lack of medical care and the spread of diseases due to lack of drinking water, and humanitarian aid is not possible, the statement said.
UNICEF said: “Child rights are explicitly violated every day because they are exposed to continuous violence and displacement and deprivation of basic life needs.” Continuing this means that a full generation is subject to loss of security, health and education and even hope.
