Zelnsky’s emphasis on a 6 -day ceasefire and meeting with Putin
In a meeting with some European officials, the Ukrainian president emphasized “complete ceasefire for at least five days”.
Ukrainian President Walodimir Zelnsky at the sixth meeting of the European Political Society in Albania expressed concern about the seriousness of Russian peace efforts, stressing that if these efforts were not serious, the international community should boycott Russia.
In a speech to some European officials, the Ukrainian president reiterated “the full ceasefire for at least five days” and said, “Currently, Ukraine’s priority is a complete ceasefire that lasts at least 2.”
In the same vein, according to the Al -Jazeera News network, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry quoted the president as saying: “The President of Zelnski is ready for direct talks with his Russian counterpart.”
Although the Ukrainian President Vladimir Putin had accepted the proposal of Russian President Vladimir Putin to start peace talks and announced his readiness to meet his person in Istanbul, the Russian president refused to participate in the meeting and was appointed by Vladimir Madinsky, his adviser.
“I am grateful for the preparation of the 17th EU sanctions package against Russia,” the Ukrainian president said in a statement welcomed the EU’s action to impose further sanctions on Russia. “We expect this package to affect everything that financing the Russian military machine.”
Zelnsky’s remarks came as the Russian president and even the Western media have repeatedly referred to Russia’s military and economic achievements, even at the height of Western sanctions.
