Russia: We are satisfied with the outcome of negotiations with Ukraine
Russia’s senior negotiator announced the consent of the country’s consent to negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul and its readiness to continue the talks.
“Direct negotiations with Ukraine have just ended,” said Vladimir Madinsky, a Russian president and Russian chief of staff in Istanbul’s talks on Friday. “We are satisfied with the result and we are ready to continue the calls.”
“In the coming days, Russia and Ukraine will each exchange four war captives,” Madinsky added.
“The Ukrainian delegation has requested a direct negotiation between the leaders of the two countries, and Russia has considered this,” he said. “Russia and Ukraine will present their views on possible future ceasefire.”
