Reuters: Saudi Arabia is consulting to buy F-1 from the US
The British News agency quoted officials from consulting with the US to buy the F-5 fighter.
According to RCO News Agency, sources informed of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to buy F-1 fighters from the United States.
“The United States and Saudi Arabia have been discussing the possible purchase of F-1 Lockheed Martin by Riyadh,” the British news agency Reuters quoted four sources as saying.
“For years, Riyadh has been interested in buying F-2,” Reuters added.
However, it is unclear that Washington will agree to Riyadh’s request, according to the British news agency.
“(Qualitative military superiority) has been raised with Israel,” said the second source, referring to US guarantees that the Zionist regime receives more advanced American weapons.
The Gulf Governments have long been looking for the most advanced fighter jet made with radar technology and allowing it to escape the enemy’s identification. If the United States confirms this transfer, after the Zionist regime, Saudi Arabia will be the second largest government to have this fighter in the region.
Three informed sources had earlier told Reuters that the United States was ready to offer more than $ 5 billion in arms valued on Tuesday during US President Donald Trump’s trip to Riyadh.
On the other hand, hours ago, Trump and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had signed a strategic economic cooperation agreement.
