According to RCO News Agency, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, in a message on the X -Social Network, announced a conversation with EU foreign policy chief Kaya Kalas about the developments of Iran’s nuclear program.

Grossi wrote: I had an important conversation with Kaya Calas about the undeniable role of the Agency in the non -proliferation verification, including in Iran, as well as our support for nuclear safety and security in Ukraine. Thank you for the vital assistance of the European Union in carrying out our mission.

“I spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi to emphasize the EU’s support for diplomacy on Iran’s nuclear issue and tensions in the region,” Kalas also wrote in a message in X yesterday.

Yesterday’s conversation with Arakchi and today’s consultation with Grossi, while indirect talks between Tehran and Washington on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear program have begun in late April.

The first round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington was held in Muscat and the second round of April in Rome, Italy. Also, the third round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington in an attempt to reach a nuclear deal with Iran, with the presence of Trump and Iraqi Special Envoy Steve Witekaf, was held in Oman on May 6.

The fourth round of talks was due to take place on Saturday this week, but Oman Foreign Minister Badr al -Bosidi said on Thursday that “we are planning to hold a meeting between Iran and the US for logistical reasons.” The new round of talks was scheduled to take place on Saturday.
