In a statement from the Oman Royal Court, Yepash said in a statement that King of Oman King Sultan Haitham bin Tariq will begin his official visit to Moscow on Monday, April 21, in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invitation. According to the statement, the purpose of the trip is to examine ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in different areas and develop relations between the two countries.

During the trip, there will also be talks on current and international issues. The King of Oman will accompany the official and high -ranking delegation that is expected to play an effective role in promoting agreements and joint projects between Muscat and Moscow. The trip comes as the two countries have taken steps to deepen political, economic and cultural cooperation in recent years.

Earlier, the Kremlin had reported that the Russian president would talk to Sultan Oman on Tuesday. Two leaders are expected to examine key areas of cooperation, including business, economic, financial and investment relations, as well as cultural and humanitarian relations.
