Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, referring to US -Iran talks on the country’s nuclear program, said Moscow is ready to help facilitate a possible agreement between Washington and Tehran.
“We welcome the desire to achieve objective and acceptable mutual agreements, including what is going on between Iran and the United States,” said Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Russia is definitely ready to facilitate this process and will do its utmost to support the agreements in which Iran’s legitimate interests are considered,” he said.
The first round of indirect talks between Washington and Tehran was held last Saturday with the participation of Iranian Foreign Minister Witcaf and Abbas Arakchi and his accompanying delegation in Oman. Following Trump’s unilateral and illegal departure from Brajam’s agreement in his first presidency, the two -year -old negotiations were held.
