Reuters: US and French foreign ministers consult with Iran
The US and French foreign ministers will consult with Iran during a visit to Paris.
According to RCO News Agency, British media by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Steve Witekaf will travel to Paris today (Wednesday) to consult with French officials.
A French diplomatic source told Reuters that the US Secretary of State will meet with his French counterpart Jean -Noel Barrow during his visit to Paris on Thursday and will talk about the Ukrainian war, the region’s situation and Iran’s nuclear talks.
French media reported that US officials will be in Paris this week.
French government spokesman Sophie Primas told reporters on Wednesday that the US Secretary of State and White House envoy will visit France soon.
“All issues related to the Middle East will be on the table,” Primas said, “They will be widely discussed with French officials.”
In its statement, the US State Department also described Rubio’s consultation and Whitakaf and French officials as the Ukrainian war.
According to the statement, Rubio will also discuss the strengthening of common interests in the region with European partners.
An official of the trip to the Paltiko Magazine also said that the two sides would talk about Trump, Ukraine, Iran and business relations.
Macron’s meeting with Witcaf only comes after the representative’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to talk about possible ceasefire in Ukraine.
