The capital of Ghana has hosted a summit of the African Army’s military commanders on April 7, which was attended by representatives from the US Army and the Ghana Army aimed at strengthening military and security cooperation in Africa and ended yesterday, according to Mehr News Agency.
The summit was accompanied by extensive participation of representatives of many African countries, including military commanders and security officials, during which intensive meetings were held between the Black continental military commanders. The focus of these meetings was to strengthen the military relations and coordinate the ground forces of the African military.
Ghana’s Defense Minister Edward Omani described the meeting as an influential area for the convergence between the armed forces and emphasized that the meeting allows participants to examine the latest and best knowledge of the situation and control and carry out military operations in a variety of environments.
US ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, who attended the summit, emphasized the importance of continuous cooperation between the United States and Ghana, and described the meeting as a reason for the US commitment to the security of Africa.
This meeting is one of the most important joint meetings held throughout the year on the continent of Africa
Issues such as security threats and military training in urban and rural environments and improved coordination between different armies in the context of maintaining security and strengthening power to control boundaries and so on.
