Former Greek Parliament Speaker Constantinos Tassolas and nominee for the ruling New Democracy Party were elected President of Greece on Wednesday, according to ISNA.
Greek Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis said: “Based on the results of the polls, President Tassola was elected to win the overwhelming majority of parliamentarians in the fourth round of voting.”
In the fourth round of parliament, Tassolas won 2 out of 5 votes, while 2 votes were enough to win the fourth round.
