Former British legislator joined the Ukrainian army
A former British legislator has joined the Ukrainian army after losing his parliamentary seats in last year’s election and now living in Kiev.
Former conservative MP Jacomo Jack Lopper has joined the Ukrainian army after failing to win last year’s election, according to ISNA.
The Independent newspaper went on to point out that Lampism is currently living in Kiev, reporting that Ukraine has been employed by foreign fighters since the intensified clash with Russia. The armed forces of the country are struggling to escape service and casualties on the battlefield.
The report said that Lampism, with his previous experience as a leader in the British Army Reserve Forces, uses his skills to help Ukraine’s war efforts against Russia. In November, he traveled to the country months after the conservative destruction in last June elections, and has since joined the International Legion of Kiev, a military unit dedicated to foreign fighters.
Reports suggest that his current duties include foreign relations and diplomacy, providing weapons and cooperation with veterans and charities active in Ukraine.
Lampism told the Independent that he expects Kiev to upgrade to foreign nationals now to upgrade to higher military degrees.
In a conversation with the newspaper, he expressed optimism about the prospect of Ukraine in the war and claimed that the morale of the soldiers was still high. This is in full contradiction with widespread media reports that the Ukrainian army has been weakened due to the staggering rate of service escape and burnout.
According to the Rasha Todi Network, Russia fights foreign nationals who are fighting for Kiev, the mercenary and their legal goals on the battlefield and prosecute them.
