French Defense Minister: Ukraine is struggling with desertion of soldiers, lack of weapons and lack of forces

According to RCO News Agency, French Defense Minister Sebastien Locurno announced that Ukraine is not only facing the problem of desertion of soldiers, but also in the field of mobilizing forces and supplying weapons.

“We know that the problem is not limited to weapons,” Le Corno said in an interview with French television. There are also problems in the field of mobilization and call-up of forces. It cannot be denied that the problem is not only about weapons and money.”

He added that France will continue to train Ukrainian military forces and stressed that it is necessary to increase the “military power” of the Ukrainian army in any case.

“We often talk about the operational compatibility of militaries,” he said. The training of the troops allows us to act in this field, and this is also one of the ways to strengthen the power of the Ukrainian army.”

According to Sputnik, on January 22, a court in Ukraine arrested Dmytro Ryomshin, the former commander of the 155th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who was involved in the mass desertion of military forces, some of whom were trained in France.

Earlier, MediLiber reported that Ukraine has launched an investigation under the article “desertion” against Brigadier Anna Kiyevskaya, who was trained in France.
